Going on with the series about weight loss affirmations this time I want to address a list of affirmations to enjoy the benefits of eating healthy. Or how well you can feel if you begin to avoid junk food. Now, junk food has a common feature, it tastes good and sometimes extremely good. Fish and chips, ice cream, snacks, sodas and so on. Well, I love chocolate too. And chocolate is definitely not a junk food right?

 

Now there’s nothing wrong if you from time to time eat junk food or sweets or sweetened sodas, cakes or whatever, who doesn’t like them. The problem is if they make up the bulk of your diet as this is pretty wrong for your health and for your weight. If every day you drink a couple of liters of sweetened soda or eat an ice cream box then not only you are probably ingesting too many calories, you’re probably filling yourself with chemical substances usually added to those foods.

 

Junk food in itself is not always bad, the problem is that usually it contains too many calories and that it is usually so filled with chemicals, salt, sugar, flavour enhancers and so on that they really don’t do too much good for your health. Taste is one thing but the benefits of eating healthy must not come after it. And some well focused weight loss affirmations can help to remain on the right track.

 

Fish and chips taken alone fish is a healthy protein source and potatoes are a heathy carbohydrate source but covered with butter, full of salt and fried in only God knows which kind of oil it can quickly become a treat to your health. I mean it’s not only the food itself but how it’s prepared that can make it healthy or junk.

 

The benefits of eating healthy instead are that you will not only lose weight but you’ll feel better, with more energy and your digestion will greatly increase. And if you really like junk food transform it into a healthy alternative, that is either go organic or learn how to prepare them yourself. As an example I absolutely love chocolate but I stick with either organic chocolate, the one still made with cocoa and coca butter, or with black chocolate without added milk or other things. It’s still satisfying.

 

The same goes if you like fish and chips, a better alternative is to make your own using healthy ingredients. Always know what you’re putting into your mouth, even if you already have a healthy weight.

 

So, this list of 10 weight loss affirmations is aimed at eating more healthy food and avoid that junk food which is not at all good for your health.

I started to live healthier than before, when stop eating junk food and late night eating also used to affected my shape :) But healthier lifestyle requres much common habits to be abandend and it's something not so easy for the majority. Excellent site!

@MelissaGordone Thanks Melissa, and you're surely right, abandoning unhealthy habits is not always easy but it's something that has to be done if someone wants to be healthy. There are tools like weight loss affirmations which make things easier but commitment is the first and most important step. Affirmations work but only if someone uses them. Hillary a/k/a GreenLotus Thanks for your kind words, and you're surely right, we can take the healthiest food in the world and transform it in a killer for our health. On the other side there is always a way to transform something in a healthier food, and being still tasty. Now I'll wait for your artcles on this topic. :)

Both my s/o and I have changed the way we eat for the past two years. We food shop differently, so there is hardly any junk food in our pantries, maybe a few not so healthy tacos in the fridge, but the greatest bulk of our diet is not bad. I eat a lot almonds, walnuts, dried fruits, fruits as snacks.... My weakness is saltine crackers with some butter. Yup, that's my favorite, so I hadn't purchased them for almost a year . When I was about 5 years old, my cousins and I used to steal saltine crackers from my grandmother who will hide them but not very succesfully. LOL. Good article and affirmations!

@Violetsun I go too almost always for organic, or at least bought directly from the farmer, food, it's not only healthy but also much more tasty. Saltine crackers and butter, well, pretty tasty too, and if they are organic they're healthy too. ;) My weakness instead is chocolate, well, who can resist real chocolate? Even if it seems strange or against eating healthy "rules" bread, butter and marmalade are still a great choice for breakfast. Obviously real bread, real butter and real marmalade, not the "plastic/chemical" version. Figure that chemicals are usually added simply to transform food gone waste into something eatable again.
