Manifesting with Intentions and Positive Affirmations
One of the tools which can help us to change our life for the better is learning how to manifest what we want using Intentions. What are them? Well, it’s just another name for Positive Affirmations, Positive Suggestions, Daily Affirmations or Self Suggestions: simple phrases which can help us to focus our mind to achieve a desired result in a short time. Focusing means using both our Conscious and Subconscious Mind Power. Making Intentions to work though requires one basic and fundamental rule: you must believe or better be sure that they are reasonable and true. If you don’t feel that manifesting with Positive Affirmations is possible then they don’t work.
And what is manifesting?
It doesn’t mean, as it is widely thought, that something appears magically in your life, not at all, even if it can happen sometimes. It means that focusing your mind on a desired result you attract yourself to that outcome and find a way to reach it. In other words you are the piece of iron who attract yourself to the magnet, it’s not the magnet which gets attracted to you. So manifesting could also be seen as how to attract yourself to what you really want.
Intentions can be used, and it’s my advice to use them, in Hypnotherapy as the therapy part of the Hypnosis session. Positive Affirmations are great to summarize your desired outcome and to focus your attention, and both your Conscious and Subconscious Mind Power, toward your desired goal.
But every intention must be reasonable and believable, by you. You can’t say “I am rich” if you have 100 dollars, pounds or euros in your bank account. It would be much better to say “I can become rich”, or “I want and I can become rich”. You can’t cheat yourself and as soon as you say something false like “I am healthy” if you have some illnesses or “I am happy” when you’re instead feeling down in the dumps what your Conscious Mind begins to say is “You’re kidding yourself!” or “Are you joking?” ruining every beneficial effect Positive Affirmations can have. And manifesting doesn’t work.
Start from where you are and state where you want to be. Something like “I can heal myself”, “I can be healthy again and I will”, “I can earn the money I need and I will”, “I will surely find a way to improve my economic situation”…. You open up yourself and become aware of possibilities to reach your goal, or in the case of becoming healthier you put yourself in a positive and focused state of mind which can help you to improve your health. Our mind power is astonishing when used well.
Never try to cheat yourself, you won’t succeed.
How to us Positive Affirmations:
The common rule for intentions is to repeat them at least ten times morning, day and night. If you really want to succeed using them you should repeat them ten times in the morning during your Self Hypnosis session, then at least ten times at noon and another time before sleeping. This is the minimum but if you can repeat them more it’s better. Remember, the first thing is in the morning during your Self Hypnosis session.
Manifesting with Positive Affirmations step by step:
- Use them during your Self Hypnosis session and at least at noon and before sleeping. If you can repeat them more it’s better. But at least three times a day.
- Intentions must be reasonable and believable.
- Instead of “I am” as everyone says use “I can”, “I want” or both. Also “I will” works well.
- Keep Positive Affirmations short, simple and to the point.
- Obviously use the pronoun I, you’re talking about yourself and not someone else.
- Be as clear as possible to avoid any misunderstanding with yourself.
- Always use a positive sentence. “I don’t want to be ill” is worthless, “I can be healthy again” is perfect. “I don’t want to be poor” is bad, “I can earn all the money I need” is very good.
- If you feel it resonates well with you add the magic sentence “And I will!” at the end of your intention.
- Write down three or four different Positive Affirmations and use the one you feel it’s the best for you.
This is what means manifesting with Intentions: focusing your Mind Power to attract yourself to what you really and deeply want. Positive Affirmations do work but only in this way. At least this is my opinion.

GmaGmaGoldie Hypnosis is more widely used than we usually think, also because celebrities usually don't like to show that they too have issues to solve. An old neighbor who has a PhD in psychology from Northwestern University once stated about a superstar that he needed hypnosis added to his mental therapy when we were watching a news report. I always remembered that observation and had a different view of hypnosis ever since then.
I keep a list of positive affirmations in my kitchen but haven't reviewed that important life recipe recently. I will today thanks to you.
