Have you ever read Think and Grow Rich from Napoleon Hill?
If not you’re definitely missing a fundamental step in your road to success, whatever you mean with it. You can find success without reading it but you simply can’t miss your goal if you apply the key success factors Napoleon Hill outlines in his book; apply persistently obviously.
You can find a free version of Think and Grow Rich at Sacred Texts.
Anyway did you know that Napoleon Hill relied heavily on using the Subconscious Mind to achieve your goals? And especially on using the power of Auto-Suggestion to do it as a key success factor? So far as to say:
Man may become the master of himself, and of his environment, because he has the POWER TO INFLUENCE HIS OWN SUBCONSCIOUS MIND, and through it, gain the cooperation of Infinite Intelligence.
You are now reading the chapter which represents the keystone to the arch of this philosophy.
He wrote an entire chapter, the 4th, on the power of Auto-Suggestion for Personal Development and to achieve goals.
Napoleon Hill and the Subconscious Mind
Now even if you are a kind of newbie in the field of Personal Development you will have surely heard about Think and Grow Rich and you probably know that Napoleon Hill wrote it after having interviewed for 20 years successful people who told him their own real key success factors. It is certainly not fluff or kind of New Age babbles; the book depicts real life and tested tools to transform your life and have the success you deserve for your own efforts.
So much true that even today it is common knowledge between successful people as always happens when someone talks about principles, which are eternal, and not techniques which feel the passing of time.
So, given this introduction isn’t it at least interesting that Napoleon Hill considers the work of Emile Couè the most important piece of knowledge to master someone’s own destiny? I mean here we are talking about a real expert on success and Personal Development (the father of it we might say), probably the best of the world, and he says that the keystone to influence the Subconscious Mind which is the pre-requisite for success is through Auto-Suggestion. The old name of Positive Affirmations.
The fact that I personally think that Emile Couè was simply a genius and that this website has a lot of articles on Positive Affirmations just adds taste to this. Like icing on the cake.
Napoleon Hill on Auto-Suggestion and Positive Affirmations
The point is that as Napoleon Hill, between many others, thought you, me and everyone else are the masters of our own destiny so if your life doesn’t satisfy you then you can change it changing your thoughts. You can provide permanent new instructions to your mind so that the Subconscious can cooperate with your efforts to reach a definite goal. The easiest way to do this is through Hypnosis and Auto-Suggestion.
Napoleon Hill thought that the key success factor for Personal Development and to achieve goals is to be able to direct the Subconscious Mind and to unleash its immense power. As a matter of fact almost nothing can be achieved if the Subconscious doesn’t participate while with its cooperation you can get almost everything you want. He thought that Auto-Suggestion was the way to do it, and I definitely agree.
You, what do you think of this? Can Napoleon Hill be wrong? Or could he be right on everything else and not about Auto-Suggestion and the role of Subconscious Mind?
