Everyone knows about the Law of Attraction right? Focus your thoughts on your desired outcome and you magically attract what you want. Sure. And Santa Claus lives at the North Pole. In reality it doesn’t work in this way, not at all. Well, unless you sell ebooks or movies teaching others how to use the Law of Attraction; if you have a good marketing unit to support you you’ll make money, it might even be a lot of money.
Every statement, law, rule, theory or whatever must be supported by either reason or common sense, possibly both. Imagining that just by focusing your positive thoughts you attract what you wish is clearly completely nonsense, unless you’re also selling tens of courses to explain why the Law of Attraction doesn’t work and how to put it to work. If really our thoughts could change our reality then we’ll have 6.000.000.000 different realities clashing and smashing each other.
Or are there some lucky ones whose thoughts are more important than others? Well, it might be that they really know the secret of the Law of Attraction and with their positive thoughts are able to twist reality to their wishes. Unfortunately this is not Dungeons and Dragons and there are no Harry Potters around, at least that I know.
Reality is that you don’t attract anything. What you can do instead is attract yourself to something.
This is how the Law of Attraction really works.
You don’t move anything, so to speak, but you can move yourself to go toward something. Can you see the difference? Focusing your thoughts on your desired results you begin to develop a kind of internal compass which you can use to go to your destination. Sometimes you’ll find hills or mountains, rivers or lakes, at times bridges and slopes and then you arrive where you want to be. Let’s say you want to go to New York, with all your heart and soul and such. Does New York move to arrive where you live?
Not at all. But you will begin to look for ways to arrive at New York, you will begin to reduce your expenses and have some money left for the tickets, learn about it on the net, you will do all that is needed to go to see the Statue of Liberty and one day you will be there. And probably take a picture of yourself because you’ve got it. This is how the Law of Attraction works in the real world.
This is the only way to attract something: working on yourself, learning new things, being open to possibilities, focusing on a clear outcome, changing roads when needed and being committed to arrive at your destination. This is the real Law of Attraction and this is how it works.
The only thing that your positive thoughts can do is to transform you in a different, better person. You change your reality and you change your life. That’s the way it goes.
All powers come from within.
So, this is my own opinion on the Law of Attraction. What is yours? Any experience with it?
