Do you know that Positive Affirmations can be used in a more focused way using it as a thought for the day can greatly improve the possibility of a fast change. It’s like transforming a common lamp in a laser beam.

I believe that Positive Affirmations are the best way to focus the mind power to achieve a desired result but I have also to admit that sometimes they can become a bit boring, repeating them day after day until they work. I mean sometimes they can become a bit like an automatic repetition of words losing a part of their power. So this is an alternative way to use your Daily Affirmations keeping them somehow fresh and powerful.

Using Positive Affirmations as Thought for the Day:

Make a list of seven Positive Affirmations to be used as thought for the day focusing on the same issue, in this case keeping your temper and remaining calm, something like:

  • I’m always in control of my temper

  • I can remain always calm and relaxed

  • Whatever happens my mind remains always clear

  • Every day I am more calm and relaxed

  • Remaining always calm is the best thing for me

  • Who remains calm always wins

  • I am always as calm as possible

Then every day pick one of those phrases and use it throughout the day, at the end of the week rinse and repeat until the desired outcome is achieved. I usually repeat the thought for the day every time the hourly alarm of my watch rings. Even better would be to use Positive Affirmations as usual in the morning, that is repeating the chosen one twenty times, and then every hour, around five times or more if you can.

This way the general target is maintained, in the example above remaining calm, but it is worded differently to avoid becoming boring or meaningless. Being bored by something, as you already know, is the best way to either quit doing it or to transform it into a burden. And no Positive Thinking technique can work if it becomes heavy to carry on.

What do you think about using Positive Affirmations as a thought for the day? Would you try it or do you prefer the normal way? Don’t you think that keeping things fresh is the best way for them to work effectively?

This is wonderful advice Andrea! I'm a big fan of positive affirmations. I believe they create a powerful mindset and even help to align events that support those affirmations.

I know what you mean about affirmations getting boring too. My personal solution is to turn an affirmation into a tune. Somehow it doesn't sound like you're talking to yourself; just singing! Cheers.

@SavvyExaminer Wonderful idea Hillary, really good. Using Positive Affirmations in that way beside being not boring also stimulates our mind in a different and probably more effective way. Great addition Hillary, thanks a lot! :)

This means that beside having a thought for the day we can have a song for the day, fabolous!
